54 Experts to Be Selected Across 9 Fields
Busan Urban Corporation is launching a public recruitment for an external expert-based Safety Advisory Group to strengthen disaster response and enhance safety management expertise.
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, led by Shin Changho) will be accepting applications for members of the "6th Safety Advisory Group" until 6:00 p.m. on June 8.
The recruitment covers a total of 54 positions across 9 fields: 16 in construction safety, 3 in civil engineering structures, 5 in soil and foundation, 5 in civil engineering construction, 8 in architectural structures, 5 in architectural construction, 3 in machinery, 4 in electrical, and 5 in fire safety.
Eligible applicants include university professors in safety-related departments or majors, experts who have obtained a relevant professional engineer or consultant license or a doctoral degree and have at least five years of practical experience in the relevant field. In addition, experts affiliated with non-profit organizations or specialized safety management agencies, as well as individuals with other professional technical qualifications, academic background, and practical experience in the relevant fields, are also eligible to apply.
Those selected as members of the Safety Advisory Group will be responsible for safety inspections and advisory services for the corporation’s managed facilities and construction sites for the next two years. They will also conduct training and occupational safety and health activities for corporation staff and worksite employees.
The Busan Urban Corporation Safety Advisory Group has contributed to enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of the corporation’s safety management system by conducting safety inspections during disaster-prone periods such as the thawing season, rainy season, heat waves, typhoons, and holidays, as well as monitoring the implementation of disaster recurrence prevention measures, providing special construction safety training, and offering customized safety and health consulting.

Members will be selected through a document review process based on the public recruitment, and the final selection results will be announced on the Busan Urban Corporation website on June 24.
