T'way Air Receives Domestic License for Name Change to 'Trinity Air'... Overseas Approvals Still Pending
Company Name to Remain Until Overseas Aviation Approvals Are Complete
T'way Air announced on the 18th that it received approval for a name change license from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on May 15, allowing it to operate under its new corporate name, Trinity Air.
This license issuance is part of the aviation licensing procedures that followed the decision to change the company name at the regular shareholders' meeting held on March 31. It signifies official approval from the domestic aviation authority for the use of the new name. However, as the international air transport business is subject to regulatory requirements in each country, the actual commencement of operations under the new name will take place sequentially, following the completion of approval and licensing procedures from overseas aviation authorities.
During the approval process, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport imposed conditions including the implementation of measures to prevent consumer confusion, maintenance of a safe flight operation system, and completion of overseas aviation authority approvals. T'way Air plans to faithfully comply with these requirements and ensure a smooth and stable transition.
Until all approval procedures are finalized, the airline will continue to operate normally under the existing name, T'way Air. The airline code (TW) and flight numbers will remain unchanged, and existing reservations can be used as usual without any additional procedures.
T'way Air plans to continuously provide information regarding the name change through its official website and other channels to ensure customers are well informed.
