VC Association to Hold 'VC CEOs Workshop' in Busan... Expanding Connections with Regional Companies
To Be Held at Ananti at Busan Cove from May 19 to 21
About 150 Participants Including Representatives of VC Association Member Companies Expected
The Korea Venture Capital Association (hereinafter referred to as the VC Association) announced on May 18 that it will hold the '2026 Venture Capital CEOs Workshop' in Busan for three days, from May 19 to 21.
This workshop will take place at Ananti at Busan Cove in Gijang-gun, Busan. Approximately 150 participants, including representatives of VC Association member companies and officials from related organizations, are expected to attend. During the event, participants will share current issues facing the industry and discuss ways to cooperate for the advancement of the venture investment ecosystem.
This year's event is particularly focused on expanding the investment network, previously centered around the Seoul metropolitan area, to the regions, and increasing investment opportunities with promising companies based in Busan. The VC Association aims to leverage the workshop to strengthen connections between regional innovation companies and the venture investment industry, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the non-metropolitan investment ecosystem.
The main programs will include activity sharing sessions from each division of the Global, Venture Growth, Ecosystem, and Policy Committees. There will also be special lectures on topics such as global expansion strategies (Flip) for startups, global economic outlook scenarios, and AI-driven industrial transformation and investment market prospects.
Speakers include former Minister of Economy and Finance Kim Bumseok, Kim Sunghoon, CEO of Mission Law Firm, and Jung Hwangsoo, CEO of The Manta Story, who will share insights on changes in the global economic environment and new industry trends such as AI and content. Additionally, in collaboration with the Busan Technology Startup Investment Institute, there will be an investment matching session introducing promising local companies.
On the final day of the event, May 21, a networking program utilizing local infrastructure will be held to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among participants.
