Kang Byungduk, the Democratic Party candidate for mayor of Hanam, officially launched his campaign for victory by holding the inauguration ceremony of the 'Hanam Great Transformation Election Campaign Committee' on May 15.

View original imageAt the inauguration ceremony, Assemblyman Kim Yongman, former Assemblyman Choi Jongyun, and former Hanam Mayor Lee Gyobeom were appointed as chief campaign chairpersons. Oh Hoo-seok, former Gyeonggi Province Vice Governor, and Seo Jeongwan, former Blue House administrator—both of whom competed in the primary—were named as standing campaign chairpersons.
Chief campaign chairperson Kim Yongman stressed, "This Hanam mayoral election is truly important," and emphasized, "Both districts must unite so that we can secure victory." Choi Jongyun, also a chief campaign chairperson, responded, "Not only should our mayoral candidate win, but we must ensure the election of Lee Gwangjae, candidate for the Hanam-gap parliamentary by-election, as well as all city and provincial council members." Lee Gyobeom, another chief campaign chairperson, urged, "We must give our utmost effort in this election. Please approach the campaign with the sincerity of believing we are three votes behind."
Lee Gwangjae, candidate for the Hanam-gap parliamentary by-election, said in his congratulatory remarks, "Hanam, located between the saturated areas of Gangnam and Pangyo, is truly a land of opportunity," and expressed his aspirations, stating, "I will secure victory as a strong National Assembly member and mayor from the ruling party and accomplish the miracle of Hanam."
Kang Byungduk, the Hanam mayoral candidate, remarked, "With the addition of Oh Hoo-seok and Seo Jeongwan, our 'one team' is now complete," and requested, "Let us ensure the election of all our candidates running in Hanam so that we can achieve Hanam's great transformation."
More than 400 campaign committee members received their appointments at the inauguration ceremony, which was attended by figures from various local sectors. The event proceeded with the awarding of appointment certificates for major positions.
