Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance to Hold Event Ahead of Vehicle Five-Day Rotation Discount Special Clause Launch at End of May
For Customers Who Apply for Pre-Reservation
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on May 15 that it will launch the "Vehicle Five-Day Rotation Discount Rider" at the end of this month to support the government's energy-saving and high oil price response policies, and will hold related events prior to the launch.

View original imageThis rider offers a 2% discount on auto insurance premiums if the policyholder refrains from driving their vehicle on the designated day of the week based on the last digit of the license plate number.
The discount is calculated on a prorated basis according to the enrollment period of the rider. Eligible customers include those with private auto insurance whose vehicle value is less than 50 million won and who own non-eco-friendly vehicles, excluding electric and hydrogen vehicles.
Before the launch of the rider, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance will notify eligible customers via KakaoTalk notification messages and LMS, and will accept applications for participation in the five-day rotation system. Customers who do not receive the notification can also apply for participation directly through the My Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance application.
However, submitting a participation application alone does not complete enrollment in the rider; a separate enrollment process must be completed after the official launch. Customers who have pre-applied will receive additional guidance on the enrollment process via KakaoTalk notification messages and LMS.
To receive the discount, the vehicle must not be operated on its designated non-driving day. If it is confirmed that the vehicle was driven on the restricted day or if an accident occurs on that day, the insurance discount may be restricted. In some cases, a special premium surcharge may be applied at renewal. However, insurance claims will be processed as usual to protect victims.
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance will also conduct events to encourage customer participation ahead of the rider's launch.
From May 11 to May 19, a "Pre-Launch Reservation Event" is being held. During this period, every customer who signs up for pre-notification via the My Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance app and newly connects their vehicle's Bluetooth to the in-app Drive service will receive a convenience store mobile coupon.
Meanwhile, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance is also operating the "Good Drive Discount Rider," which provides up to a 17.6% discount on insurance premiums to customers who achieve a safe driving score of 81 points or higher at the time of rider enrollment through the Drive service in the My Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance app.
Additionally, during this month, the top 100 customers with the highest safe driving scores in the Drive service within the My Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance app will receive a 10,000 won Naver Pay voucher.
