Uijeongbu City Kicks Off PoC Support Project
Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province will be recruiting companies to participate in the '2026 Advanced Industry Scaling Up-PoC Support' project, which supports the commercialization of promising technologies by small and venture businesses based on large corporate demand, from May 14 to May 25, 2026.
This project will see four major domestic corporations—LG Electronics, Kakao Mobility, Kyobo Life Insurance, and KB Insurance—participate as collaboration partners. The recruitment targets four small and venture businesses possessing promising technologies in each corporation's area of demand: ▲LG Electronics—smart home appliances ▲Kakao Mobility—intelligent mobility ▲Kyobo Life Insurance—user-customized life care ▲KB Insurance—automation agents in the healthcare sector.
The selected companies will conduct joint projects utilizing the infrastructure of large corporations, assess the field applicability of their technologies (PoC), and secure future opportunities for investment and market expansion.
The city aims to discover promising technology-driven local companies and strengthen their capabilities through this project, foster a mutually beneficial industrial ecosystem via open innovation (OI) with large corporations, and enhance corporate technological competitiveness through demonstration-focused, customized support.
