Dyson Launches First "Hush Jet Mini Cool Fan" Portable Model in Korea
Ultra-Lightweight Design: 38mm Thick, 212g Weight
Official Domestic Launch Follows Global Debut
Strong Global Demand Demonstrated
British home appliance company Dyson is launching its first portable fan, the "Dyson Hot+Cool Jet Mini Fan," in Korea.
According to Dyson on May 13, the Hot+Cool Jet Mini Fan is the company's first portable fan featuring Dyson's air flow technology, which has been developed over the past 17 years. After its global market debut last month, the initial stock sold out in about two hours in the UK and Singapore, and within 24 hours in the United States, drawing significant attention.
Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer at Dyson, explained, "Since 2009, we have refined our air propulsion technology, reduced turbulence, and continuously advanced our air flow research. The Dyson Hot+Cool Jet Mini Fan embodies this technological journey, delivering powerful airflow on the go so you can enjoy the same cool comfort you experience at home, anywhere."
The new product features an ultra-lightweight, slim design with a thickness of 38mm and a weight of 212g. The fast-rotating blades are hidden within the structure, enhancing both safety and ease of cleaning. It is equipped with a brushless motor capable of spinning up to 65,000 RPM (rotations per minute), delivering wind speeds of up to 25 m/s.
Notably, Dyson's Jet technology enables powerful airflow. By applying the Bernoulli principle, which creates a low-pressure zone, and the entrainment effect, which draws in surrounding air, the device can generate strong winds despite its compact size.
The star-shaped Jet nozzle stabilizes the air flow, while the honeycomb mesh structure reduces turbulence, providing a softer breeze. Additionally, this design helps prevent the entry of dust and foreign substances, making maintenance easier.
The fan supports five wind speed settings and a boost mode. Users can select a gentle breeze for daily activities such as commuting or traveling, or opt for a stronger airflow for outdoor activities or in hot environments.
The new model is available in three color combinations: Stone·Blush, Carnelian·Sky, and Ink·Cobalt. Standard accessories include a necklace-type strap, charging stand, USB-C charging cable, and a travel pouch. This allows the fan to be used in various forms, such as a necklace, handheld, or desk fan.
It supports fast charging via USB-C and can be fully charged within three hours. The maximum operating time is six hours. The Stone·Blush color will be released first on May 13 via Dyson's official website, with sequential sales through Dyson's sales channels to follow. The Carnelian·Sky and Ink·Cobalt colors are scheduled for release in June.
