Fire at Paint Factory in Naesa-eup, Changwon ... Man in His 60s Suffers Second-Degree Burns Over Entire Body

At around 8:14 a.m. on May 12, a fire broke out at a paint manufacturing factory in Naesa-eup, Masanhwoewon-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province.
As a result of the fire, part of one factory building was damaged, and a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A and an employee of the factory, suffered second-degree burns over his entire body and was transported to the hospital.
In addition, thick black smoke spread widely throughout the area, prompting a surge of reports from local residents, especially those living in nearby apartment complexes, with a total of 46 calls received by the fire department.
The fire department deployed 20 pieces of equipment and 43 personnel, and managed to extinguish the fire completely by around 8:40 a.m.

The police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage, based on reports that the fire started on the factory roof.
