Bodyfriend Registers Patent for Technology Controlling Speed of Dual Arm Massage Modules
Automatically Adjusts Minute Speed Differences
On May 12, Bodyfriend announced that it has registered a patent for a control technology that aligns the movement speeds of the left and right arm massage modules to ensure uniformity.
The official name of the newly registered patent is "Method for Aligning and Moving Arm Massage Modules Capable of Independent Movement and Massage Apparatus Performing the Same" (Patent No. 10-2928715). This technology detects minute speed differences that can occur when the left and right arm massage modules move simultaneously and automatically adjusts them.
The module moving faster is slowed down, while the slower side is sped up to achieve balance. This allows for a more precise stretching and massage experience for the arms.
This patented technology, a core component of the "Active Arm Technology" that enables arm movement and massage, is currently applied in Eden Robo, Bodyfriend's full-body twist healthcare robot. Bodyfriend plans to apply this technology to a wider range of healthcare robots in the future.
A Bodyfriend representative stated, "This patent acquisition marks a new level of precision control in healthcare robots equipped with a full-body free-driving system. Building on our accumulated robotics technology, we will continue to advance our technologies to enable even more natural and sophisticated full-body movements."
