The first Vision Zone has been established at Green Tree, a residential facility for infants and young children with disabilities in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do. Operated by the Hae Kang Welfare Foundation, the facility is home to about 40 infants and children with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and brain lesions. Hanwha Vision and Green Tree held a signboard unveiling ceremony on May 7 to announce the launch of the Vision Zone. The event was attended by Hyunseop Kim, Head of Management Support Office at Hanwha Vision, and Aeri Cho, Director of Green Tree, among others.
Most residential facilities for infants and young children with disabilities are located on the outskirts of urban areas, which increases the risk of unexpected incidents such as children leaving the facility or possible external intrusions, making the installation of security systems crucial. Through this project, Hanwha Vision has provided Green Tree with about 30 cameras, storage devices, monitors, and other equipment.
The project utilizes the latest products, including artificial intelligence (AI) cameras. These cameras are equipped with AI analytics features such as fall and wandering detection, as well as privacy masking functions to protect personal information. The cameras’ coverage is restricted to shared spaces to ensure the children’s privacy. To provide ongoing support rather than a one-time contribution, Hanwha Vision has announced that maintenance and free after-sales service will be provided indefinitely, with no time limit.
