President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating for his administration has risen slightly, with his support rate approaching 60%.
According to a public opinion poll released by Realmeter on the 11th (commissioned by Energy Economy News and conducted from the 4th to the 8th among 2,007 voters aged 18 and older nationwide, using a 100% wireless automated response system, with a margin of error of ±2.2 percentage points at a 95% confidence level and a response rate of 4.2%), President Lee's approval rating for his administration was found to be 59.7%, up 0.2 percentage points from last week. The negative evaluation was 35.7%, up 0.7 percentage points.

View original imageLooking at the results by region, support in Incheon and Gyeonggi rose by 6.5 percentage points, from 58.1% to 64.6%, while support in North Gyeongsang and Daegu fell by 6.3 percentage points, from 50.4% to 44.1%.
Realmeter explained, "Economic factors such as the KOSPI surpassing the 7,500 mark and the current account surplus reaching a record high contributed to the increase. However, political turmoil, including conflicts surrounding the special prosecutor for the fabricated indictment and the failure of the constitutional amendment bill, offset the gains, resulting in only a slight increase compared to last week."
In the party support survey (commissioned by Energy Economy News and conducted from the 7th to the 8th among 1,006 voters aged 18 and older nationwide, using a 100% wireless automated response system, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level and a response rate of 3.7%), support for the Democratic Party of Korea rose by 0.1 percentage points from last week to 48.7%, while support for the People Power Party fell by 0.7 percentage points to 30.9%. The Reform New Party registered 3.5%, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party 3.2%, and the Progressive Party 2.2%.
