He added, "I will become a mayor who listens to the voices of citizens with humility and seeks solutions together in the daily lives of our people."
He went on to say, "Uijeongbu currently faces a range of complex challenges, including difficulties in people's livelihoods, stagnation of the local economy, stalled development of returned military sites, and delays in transportation innovation. Through strong cooperation and communication with the Lee Jae-myung administration, I will make sure to achieve the development of returned military sites and transportation innovation."
Candidate Kim especially emphasized, "We need politics that breathes with citizens and takes responsibility until the end, not politics that rules over them. Based on President Lee Jae-myung's philosophy, which ushered in the era of citizen sovereignty, I will realize citizen-sovereign governance here in Uijeongbu as well."
Former National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang, who attended the event, presented a calligraphy piece wishing victory and stressed, "Uijeongbu needs a prepared candidate who can take responsibility for its future," expressing his support for Kim. Assembly members Park Ji-hye and Lee Jae-gang also pledged to "work together for the development of Uijeongbu and the success of the administration."
