Jinju City Publishes Guidebook on Life Cycle-Based Support Policies
Comprehensive Support Initiatives from Marriage to Old Age
Enhancing Convenience for Citizens
Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it has published a policy guidebook titled "From Birth to Old Age" to help citizens more easily access and utilize information on support policies according to different stages of life.
The guidebook contains 169 population policy initiatives across 10 key areas closely related to citizens' daily lives, including marriage, pregnancy and childbirth, infants and toddlers, children and adolescents, youth, education, families with multiple children, reductions and exemptions, and seniors. It is notable for consolidating support information that had previously been scattered across various departments into a single volume, thereby improving convenience for citizens.
In particular, the guidebook includes changes to existing programs as well as new initiatives introduced this year. In addition to policies tailored to each stage of life, it also provides a variety of practical information needed for citizens' everyday lives, enhancing its usefulness.
The guidebook is available for viewing at multi-use facilities such as the Civil Service and Passport Division at Jinju City Hall, public health centers, libraries, town and township offices, community welfare centers, hospitals, and banks within the city. It is also offered in e-book format through the Jinju City website and the Youth Online Platform.
In celebration of Family Month in May, Jinju City, in collaboration with the Jinju branch of the Korean Women’s Association, plans to distribute the guidebook to facilities related to childbirth and childcare, such as obstetrics and postpartum care centers. Additionally, a promotional campaign will be launched to encourage childbirth and raise public awareness about population issues.
