Gyeongsan City is advancing a wide range of public initiatives aimed at spreading a culture of carbon neutrality, strengthening healthcare welfare for vulnerable groups, and enhancing the digital capabilities of the senior generation.
The Gyeongsan City Carbon Neutrality Support Center announced on May 8 that it recently held the first on-site event for the "2026 Carbon Neutral Point Enrollment Support Project for Multi-family Housing" at Jinryang Humansia Apartment.

The center actively promoted the initiative by providing pay-as-you-throw waste bags to new registrants, and, thanks to the strong response from citizens, plans to expand the project this year to 10 apartment complexes.
Through these efforts, the city aims to continuously encourage energy savings and participation in carbon neutrality practices in everyday life.
In addition, on May 7, Gyeongsan City signed a business agreement for the "Primary Medical Korean Medicine Home Visit Service Linked Care Integration Project" with five Korean medicine clinics in the city in an effort to address gaps in healthcare coverage.

Through this public-private partnership, the city intends to further strengthen its local community care system and continuously expand integrated services that combine healthcare and welfare, thereby supporting a healthy and active life for the elderly.
On the same day, an orientation for the "Senior AI Storybook Production Training" program to support digital transformation among the senior generation was held at the Dodream Center of Gyeongbuk Technopark.

The final content produced by the trainees is scheduled to be officially exhibited at the "2026 Gyeongbuk International AI Metaverse Film Festival" to be held in September.
