Direct Experience of Hadong Tea Culture and Traditional Processing
Enhancing Communication and Organizational Vitality through Staff Participation Program
The Hadong Tea & Bio Promotion Institute and the Hadong County Agricultural Products Distribution Division announced that they held the "May Tea Leaf Picking Experience," a staff participation communication program, at the tea fields in Hadong Park on May 7.
This event was organized to mark the month of May, when the foliage grows lush, and allowed participants to experience the traditions and values of Hadong tea culture firsthand, while also promoting harmony and organizational vitality among employees.
On the day of the event, more than 20 employees from the Promotion Institute and the Agricultural Products Distribution Division took part, harvesting tea leaves in the green fields and experiencing the excellence of Hadong tea and traditional tea processing culture firsthand.

Subsequently, the tea leaf picking session was divided into morning and afternoon, focusing on harvesting young tea leaves (one bud with two to three leaves), which gave participants an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the entire tea production process.
In particular, the tea leaves harvested that day are scheduled to be used in the future production of "Jaksal," Hadong's traditional tea, allowing participants to go beyond a simple experience and take part directly in the succession of the region's traditional tea culture.
The event has been evaluated as an occasion to reflect on the history and tradition of the Hadong tea industry and to share the brand value of Hadong tea, a representative cultural asset of the region.
