Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will host the "Second Social Giver Market for Social Economy in 2026" at the Hanaro Mart Nonghyup Yangju Agricultural Products Distribution Center for three days, from May 8 to May 10.

It aims to provide citizens with meaningful consumption and various experiential opportunities, while also offering participating companies a platform to promote their products and expand their sales channels.
The event will operate from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 8, and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 9 and May 10.
There will be a total of 22 booths: 20 for participating companies in the market, and 2 for the Social Economy Support Center and the Fair Trade campaign.
The event will feature a variety of products and content, including food, crafts, household items, and experiential programs, with participation from Yangju-based social economy enterprises, social economy companies from other cities and counties, small business owners, startup teams, and community groups.
Participating companies from Yangju include Todoplay Co., Ltd., Duson Co., Ltd., Gamseong Local Alliance Co., Ltd., Raonatti Co., Ltd., ECCA Association, Haerang Village Cooperative, Noyasan Food Agricultural Association + Maenggol Village Agricultural Corporation, Yangju Merchants Cooperative, Naeil Social Cooperative, and the Horticultural Cooperative Pureumchaeum. Companies from other cities and counties include The Grun Co., Ltd., Lumion Plus Co., Ltd., Hansamo Cooperative, and Guri Craft Cooperative.
In addition, various organizations such as Onammae Class Co., Ltd., Pieonhwa Flower Agricultural Corporation, Ecomaison Cooperative, Damjang of Living Artists, and Memory House will participate, presenting a wide range of products including handmade crafts, food, and daily necessities.
During the event, on Saturday, May 9, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be busking performances, magic shows, and a flute ensemble performance, providing visitors with plenty of entertainment.
There will also be a "Social Value Coin Event," where consumers can donate the coins they receive after purchasing goods to the social enterprise of their choice, and the selected social enterprise will make a donation proportional to the number of coins received. Through this, the event aims to share the significance of practicing social value by connecting consumption activities with charitable giving.
An official from Yangju City stated, "The Social Giver Market is a win-win platform that puts into practice community values and sharing," and added, "We hope many citizens will visit and join in good consumption and community sharing."

The Social Giver Market in 2026 will be held a total of three times, with the final third event scheduled to be expanded into a citizen-participatory festival at Okjeong Lake Park in October.
