'Medicube Phenomenon' APR Sees Q1 Sales Surge 123%...Records All-Time High Performance
APR Reports KRW 593.4 Billion in Q1 Revenue
Operating Profit Surges 173% to KRW 152.3 Billion
APR achieved its highest-ever quarterly results in the first quarter of this year, driven by strong performance in its global business.
On May 7, APR announced that its consolidated revenue for the first quarter reached KRW 593.4 billion, a 123% increase year-on-year. During the same period, operating profit amounted to KRW 152.3 billion, up 173.7%. Both revenue and operating profit were the largest ever recorded by the company in a single quarter.
Growth in overseas business led to these outstanding results. Overseas revenue for the first quarter reached KRW 528.1 billion, a 179.9% increase year-on-year. The proportion of overseas sales within total revenue also rose by 18.1 percentage points, accounting for 89% of overall sales.
By business segment, revenue from the cosmetics and beauty segment reached KRW 452.6 billion, a 174.3% increase from the same period last year. Medicube's flagship products continued to set new sales records, while the PDRN product line surpassed 50 million units in cumulative global sales in February, approximately 20 months after its launch. The toner pad product line also exceeded 20 million units in cumulative global sales as of the first quarter.
The beauty device segment also achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales, recording KRW 132.7 billion, which represents a 46% increase year-on-year.
