Gwangju Shinsegae Donates 70 Million Won to Green Umbrella Children's Foundation
Scholarship Contributions Surpass 3.5 Billion Won Since 1995
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. has once again stepped up with generous support for local talent.
On May 6, Gwangju Shinsegae held the 31st Local Talent Hope Scholarship Award Ceremony at the CEO's office. The event was attended by Lee Donghoon, CEO of Gwangju Shinsegae, and Kim Eunyoung, Director of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation Gwangju Foster Care Support Center, among others.
On this day, Gwangju Shinsegae donated 70 million won to the Gwangju branch of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. The scholarships provided will be used to support local students who are focusing on their studies despite difficult circumstances.
Gwangju Shinsegae held the 31st Hope Scholarship Award Ceremony on the 6th and donated 70 million won in scholarship funds to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.

Earlier, in April, Gwangju Shinsegae delivered 20 million won in scholarship funds to the Seogu Scholarship Foundation. Since 2016, Gwangju Shinsegae has been contributing scholarships to the Seogu Scholarship Foundation in order to foster talent in the Seogu region.
In addition, Gwangju Shinsegae awarded scholarships to organizations established to support children of firefighters, including the Rocksoo Scholarship Foundation, Hanmaeum Scholarship Foundation, and Mudol Scholarship Foundation. This year alone, a total of 130 million won in Hope Scholarships has been delivered to the local community. The cumulative amount of Hope Scholarships provided by Gwangju Shinsegae to local talent to date has exceeded 3.5 billion won.
