GH Tops 847 Public Institutions Nationwide in 'SME Product Purchase Rate' at 94.8%
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) achieved the highest small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) product purchase rate among 847 public institutions nationwide last year, recording 94.8%.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on April 28, GH sourced 446 billion won worth of SME products, accounting for 94.8% of its total purchase amount of 470.6 billion won. This figure represents a 0.1 percentage point increase compared to the previous year. The statutory minimum purchase ratio for public institutions is 50%.
GH has been actively supporting the expansion of sales channels for SMEs by purchasing innovative SME products from the design stage in major project areas in the province, such as Yongin, Ansan, and Goyang. In particular, since 2024, the 'Public Procurement Consultation Session' and the 'Mutual Growth Payment System' have been established as the 'GH-style Mutual Growth Model,' supporting the entire process from contract to payment.
The 'Public Procurement Consultation Session' is a support program that provides practical business opportunities through one-on-one direct consultations between GH's ordering department staff and SMEs. In 2024, 41 companies were selected, and in the previous year, 53 companies were chosen, contributing to expanding the promotion of SME products.
The 'Mutual Growth Payment System' is an electronic payment system that allows partner SMEs to cash out their payment receivables early at low financial costs by leveraging GH's strong credit rating, thereby helping companies secure cash flow.
