Tentative Agreement Reached on Collective Bargaining
Official Signing Ceremony to Be Held at Jinju Branch of Ministry of Employment and Labor at 11 a.m. on April 29
The Cargo Truckers Solidarity Division (Cargo Solidarity) of the Korean Public Service and Transport Workers’ Union, under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), announced on April 29 that it had reached a tentative agreement on a collective bargaining agreement with BGF Logistics, the logistics subsidiary of BGF Retail, through negotiations.

View original imageThe official signing ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on the same day at the conference room of the Jinju branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, after completing internal procedures. After signing the agreement at the official ceremony, Cargo Solidarity plans to immediately lift the blockade of major centers.
It is known that during the negotiations, Cargo Solidarity demanded BGF Logistics raise freight rates, expand rest days, prohibit damage claims, and fully withdraw all injunctions filed for obstruction of work.

Previously, during a demonstration by the CU Branch of the Cargo Solidarity Convenience Store Division demanding direct negotiations with BGF Retail and BGF Logistics, union members blockaded several CU logistics centers and manufacturing plants, halting product shipments. Additionally, on April 20, at a Cargo Solidarity rally in front of the Jinju CU logistics center, a non-union member driving a cargo truck struck union members, resulting in one death and two injuries.
