by Train and Bicycle Tour
On April 25, Gochang County conducted the 'Eco Rail Tour,' a tourism program that utilizes both railways and bicycles.
This tour attracted more than 150 tourists and was carried out as part of a joint project in the southwestern region of North Jeolla Province (Gochang, Jeongeup, and Buan). Participants traveled to nearby stations by train and then cycled along a route that circulates through Gochang’s major tourist attractions and ecological sites.

Participants visited Gochang’s signature attractions, including the Gochang Green Barley Field Hakwon Farm, Seonunsan Provincial Park, and Ungok Wetlands. They had the opportunity to experience the outstanding natural environment and ecological resources of Gochang County, which boasts seven UNESCO treasures.
This Eco Rail Tour demonstrated the diversity of Gochang’s tourism content by combining railways and bicycles, and served as an effective opportunity to promote the county’s image as a tourism city linked to nature, ecology, and festivals. Additional promotional effects are also expected through participants’ on-site experiences, online reviews, and photo sharing.
