Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Launches 'High Oil Price Response' Campaign at Pyeonghwa Nuri Camping Site Starting May 1
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is launching a campaign at the Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Camping Site to address the era of high oil prices and promote eco-friendly camping as well as sustainable transportation culture.
On April 28, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced that, starting May 1 and for one month, it will run participatory Environmental, Social (ES) campaigns at its directly managed Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Camping Site, such as "Get Firewood with Green Wheels," which encourages the use of eco-friendly vehicles, and "GO Without a Car, Camping ON," which promotes the use of public transportation.
The "Get Firewood with Green Wheels" campaign targets customers who drive to the campsite. Those arriving in eco-friendly vehicles within the campsite will receive 10kg of firewood (worth 13,000 won) free of charge. Eco-friendly vehicles recognized by this campaign are emission-free vehicles, such as electric or hydrogen cars. Low-emission vehicles, such as compact cars and hybrids, are not eligible.
