Hamh Jungwoo has climbed to 382nd place in the world golf rankings.
In the men's weekly world golf rankings announced on the 27th (local time), he earned 0.3564 points, soaring a remarkable 353 spots from last week's 735th position. He accumulated ranking points by winning the Asian Tour Singapore Open (total prize money of 2 million dollars) held at the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore the previous day. This was his first victory on the Asian Tour, and he received a winner's prize of 360,000 dollars (approximately 530 million won).

By winning this tournament, he secured a spot in this year's major championship, The Open. The Singapore Open is classified as one of the International Series, the premier events of the Asian Tour. The top two players in this tournament will qualify for The Open, which will take place at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England on July 16.
In a post-victory interview, Hamh Jungwoo said, "This win is personally very meaningful. I am even happier because it feels like all the experience and preparation I've built up so far have paid off," adding, "I will become a player who can confidently compete for victory on even bigger stages."
Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Matt Fitzpatrick (England), Cameron Young (USA), Justin Rose (England), Collin Morikawa (USA), Tommy Fleetwood (England), Russell Henley, Xander Schauffele, and J.J. Spaun (all USA) maintained their spots in the top 10.

Kim Siwoo jumped one spot from 26th last week to 25th, the highest world ranking among Korean players. Im Sungjae is ranked 76th, Kim Sunghyun is 138th, Kim Juhyung is 144th, and An Byeonghun is 147th. Choi Chan, winner of the KPGA Tour Woori Financial Championship, made a significant leap from 970th to 505th last week.
