GH to Supply 396 Youth Monthly Rent Housing Units... Applications Open from April 28
Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH) is recruiting 396 preliminary tenants for its youth monthly rent housing program.
The youth monthly rent housing program is a type of public rental housing in which GH purchases existing houses—such as multi-family homes, multiplex houses, and officetels—and offers them for rent at conditions that are 30–50% lower than market rates.
This time, GH is supplying public rental housing in areas including Suwon, Siheung, Yongin, Seongnam, and Paju.
Eligibility for application is limited to unmarried young adults without home ownership. Applicants must be either university students, job seekers, or individuals between the ages of 19 and 39. The initial lease term is two years, and if renewal conditions are met, tenants may reside for up to 10 years.
Applications for move-in can be submitted online through the GH Subscription Center on the 28th of this month (priority group 1), and on the 29th–30th (priority groups 2 and 3).
GH is also accepting year-round applications for 27 preliminary tenants for monthly rent housing targeted at young adults preparing for independence after leaving protective care. Eligibility is limited to young adults preparing for independence who do not own a home as of the recruitment announcement date.
The rental conditions are set at around 30% of the prevailing market rate, and the lease term is the same as that for the youth monthly rent housing program. Applications should be submitted in person at the Monthly Rent Housing Supply Center.
GH is operating a program that provides 100% deposit support for young adults preparing for independence, and this year, housing cost support will also be offered to those who sign a lease for monthly rent housing and wish to receive it.
