Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province announced that the 'Uichangdong Citizens' Harmony Concert', held at the Changwon Livestock Agricultural Cooperative parking lot, concluded successfully with enthusiastic support from citizens.
The 'Citizens' Harmony Concert', hosted and organized by Changwon City on April 24, was designed to bridge cultural gaps between regions and expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy a variety of cultural and artistic experiences in their daily lives.
This year holds special significance as it marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of 'Spring in My Hometown'. The concert was held in Uichangdong, the birthplace of the song, further enhancing its cultural symbolism and historical meaning.
The event opened with a vibrant performance by the 'GoGo Janggu' team, a local resident self-governance program from Uichangdong, followed by the Changwon City Choir delivering a moving rendition of 'Spring in My Hometown' in beautiful harmony, leaving the audience quietly touched.
Next, local singer Kim Eunju, fusion band A-PLUS, local singer Bae Jina, and popular guest singer Na Sangdo heated up the atmosphere with passionate stage presence and lively performances, providing citizens with unforgettable memories and joy.
