Launching Japan-Exclusive "Garlic Shrimp Protein Pasta" in Korea
Samyang Foods announced on the 27th that it is launching a new product under its Tangle brand, the "Basil Tomato Protein Pasta." Starting in Korea, the company plans to roll out the product sequentially to global markets, including the United States and China, beginning next month.
The Basil Tomato Protein Pasta features a harmonious blend of the freshness of tomatoes and the aroma of basil. Utilizing Samyang Foods' patented manufacturing process and chickpeas, the Tangle brand's unique dried noodles deliver a texture similar to fresh pasta while enhancing nutritional value. The Basil Tomato Protein Pasta contains 16 grams of protein and 4 grams of dietary fiber per 100 grams of the domestic product.
Additionally, the company will launch the "Tangle Garlic Shrimp Protein Pasta," which debuted in Japan in April last year, in Korea as well. This product combines the savory flavors of shrimp and garlic with a creamy sauce and a hint of spiciness.
Tangle is a differentiated brand reflecting the rising preference for convenience foods and the trend toward health-conscious eating. Its key feature is the use of chickpeas in dried noodles manufactured with Samyang Foods' patented process, resulting in increased protein and dietary fiber content. The product lineup offers five flavors in total: Basil Tomato, Garlic Oil, Mushroom Cream, Bulgogi Alfredo, and Garlic Shrimp.
