Policies That Are Tangible and Truly Effective
Seongju County in North Gyeongsang Province held a meeting on April 22 in the Deputy County Governor's office to review measures for overcoming the low birthrate.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the progress of key initiatives in various sectors, including pregnancy and childbirth, comprehensive childcare, secure housing, work-life balance, gender equality, and matchmaking. They also shared on-site challenges and difficulties, and engaged in focused discussions on possible solutions.
In addition, specific action plans to spread the "Four Major Cultural Movements to Overcome the Burden of Low Birthrate" throughout the local community were discussed, and all departments agreed to actively collaborate and push these initiatives forward.
