Gwangju Seo District Facilities Management Corporation Offers Free Public Parking for 'Yangdong Tongmaek Festival'
Four Parking Lots Near Yangdong Traditional Market to Open
Expected to Enhance Visitor Convenience and Boost the Local Economy
The Seo District Facilities Management Corporation of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that it will offer free use of public parking lots near the venue during the Yangdong Tongmaek Festival, the region's representative festival, to support its successful hosting.
This free opening initiative aims to alleviate parking inconveniences for festival visitors and to encourage visits to nearby commercial areas, thereby revitalizing the local economy.
The free parking period will run from 3:00 p.m. on April 23, the opening day of the festival, until midnight on April 25, when the festival concludes.
The four parking lots included are: Yangdong Traditional Market Union Public Parking Lot (5-29, Yangdong, Seo-gu), Yangdong Dakjeon-gil Market Public Parking Lot (32, Yangdong Market 2-gil, Seo-gu), Yangdong Covered Shopping Center Upper Parking Lot (324, Numun-dong, Buk-gu), and Yangdong Covered Shopping Center Lower Parking Lot (441, Yangdong, Seo-gu).
An official from the corporation said, "We hope that citizens and tourists visiting the Yangdong Tongmaek Festival will enjoy the event without any parking concerns," and added, "We will continue to do our best to enhance customer convenience and contribute to the local community by efficiently operating public parking lots."
