Shinsegae Department Store to Hold 'Early Gift' Event Ahead of Family Month

Shinsegae Department Store will hold the 'The Perfect Early Gift' promotional event at all stores from April 23 to April 29 to celebrate Family Month. The event was planned in response to the anticipated demand for gifts in May and was based on customer survey results.
In a survey conducted earlier this year with approximately 2,500 department store customers, the most common request was for 'practical benefits', cited by 92.2% of respondents. This was followed by personalized recommendations (45.2%), family-oriented content (38.2%), and information on premium gifts (33.1%). There was also some demand for cultural and experiential content.
Reflecting these results, Shinsegae Department Store organized the event to combine discounts, personalized recommendations, premium products, and experiential content. First, it will offer up to 50,000 won in discounts through 'Early Bird Coupons', which can be used in major categories such as watches and jewelry, fashion and accessories, perfumes, and food.
The company also strengthened personalized recommendations. By utilizing customer purchase data, it will recommend perfume products. In addition, Fortnum & Mason will offer a gift box and wrapping services to customers who spend over 100,000 won from April 30 to May 10.
There are also participatory events for families. In early May, a prize event called 'Spin the Wonder Box' will be held through the app, offering kids' products such as scooters and balance bikes. Shinsegae Academy will host a free trial event for children's classes to further enhance experiential content.
The event also includes benefits that link online and offline channels. On its own platform, 'Beyond Shinsegae', the company will provide curated gift exhibitions and discount coupons, while also introducing overseas cruise and European travel packages through its travel platform.

Lee Sunghwan, Executive Vice President of Sales Strategy at Shinsegae Department Store, stated, "The 'The Perfect Early Gift' event is a Family Month event that began with customer concerns and is completed by customer choices."
