LG Uplus Expands AI Service Collaboration with MongoDB... Focusing on Quality Enhancement
LG Uplus announced on April 22 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation on data management related to AI services with global data platform company MongoDB.
The previous approach had the issue of data being dispersed across multiple systems, making it time-consuming to find necessary information and complicating the utilization process. With this MOU, LG Uplus plans to leverage its data utilization experience, proven in its AI Contact Center (AICC), and expand it to company-wide AI services. The company also aims to improve its distributed data operation structure to enhance both response efficiency and operational stability of its AI services.
MongoDB offers an AI-ready unified data platform equipped with the core capabilities needed to build, deploy, and scale AI applications. In addition, it supports the flexible storage and rapid retrieval of various types of data, such as text, conversation logs, and customer history.
Going forward, LG Uplus intends to improve its AI service operation system from keyword-based search to an approach that allows users to find necessary information by reflecting the meaning and context of customer inquiries. MongoDB will support the integration, storage, management, and utilization of operational data as the data platform powering these applications.
The two companies have also agreed to collaborate on modernizing the architecture by converting legacy systems into structures suitable for AI environments. As AI services expand, the existing IT environment may develop structural bottlenecks in terms of performance, flexibility, and inter-system connectivity. LG Uplus plans to advance its data and application operation structure to provide a more stable foundation for handling large-scale AI workloads.
