Duksung Women's University was the first university in the Seoul metropolitan area to fully implement an open major system in 2020, thereby expanding students' choices. Starting from the 2025 academic year, the university will establish a School of Interdisciplinary Studies to further support students' autonomous career planning.
In addition, by introducing new departments in advanced fields, Duksung Women's University has continued to reorganize its academic structure to meet the demands of future industries. As a result, the university received the highest rating in the 'University Innovation Support Project Performance Evaluation' in both 2024 and 2025.
Since taking office, President Min has launched the 'Duksung AI Initiative,' which incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) throughout university operations. The university is promoting 'X+AI' educational innovation, where every major is combined with AI to enhance competitiveness. The initiative aims to create a future-oriented university model that balances academic expertise, artificial intelligence, innovation, and ethics on a foundation of human-centered values, rather than technology alone.
