View original imageAt approximately 9:51 a.m. on April 6, a worker was involved in a fall accident while conducting disaster recovery work on a hillside near a road in Chusan-ri, Daeui-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters and Uiryeong County, as a result of the accident, a man in his 40s, referred to as Mr. A, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.
At the time, Mr. A was moving trees by securing a small excavator to a crane when the connecting cable snapped, causing the excavator to fall. He is reported to have fallen from a height of approximately 6 meters as a result.
Uiryeong County has been carrying out recovery work since March 17 to repair damage caused by flooding that occurred in July of last year.
