Director Il Won Appointed as Artistic Director for Official Events of World Heritage Committee

View original imageThe National Heritage Administration announced on April 6 that it has appointed Director Il Won as the Artistic Director for the official events of the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which will be held in Busan this July.
Director Il is a graduate recognized as a successor of the National Intangible Heritage "Piri Jeongak and Daechwita." He is a director who encompasses contemporary music and comprehensive arts based on traditional music. He previously served as the executive director of the 2019 National Sports Festival and as the artistic director of the ACC World Music Festival from 2024 to 2026.
Artistic Director Il Won stated, "It is an honor to serve as the artistic director of the World Heritage Committee, which is being held in Korea for the first time since joining the World Heritage Convention in 1988. I will do my utmost to showcase the beauty of K-Heritage to delegations from all over the world."
