On April 5, Yongin Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Sangil), announced that it had selected six companies as beneficiaries of the "Facility Improvement Support Project for Agricultural and Food Processing Companies" in order to promote the consumption of local agricultural products and enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural and food processing industry.

The selection process evaluated the amount of locally produced agricultural products used, the appropriateness of the business plan, and growth potential.
Sangchon Food is planning facility improvements to obtain HACCP certification for Gwon Gi-ok’s traditional Korean sauces, a recognized master food product of Korea. Dongsan Rice Cake Shop, which supplies local food directly to retail stores, will introduce new production and packaging machinery.
Maeumiga Co., Ltd., a company specializing in frozen rice cakes, is expanding its rice cake manufacturing facilities while supplying to major platforms, large retailers, and export markets. J1 Agricultural Corporation Co., Ltd., known for "Sung Sikyung Makgeolli," produces Gyeongtakju and Siega (liqueur), uses over 200 tons of Yongin rice annually, and is investing in equipment automation.
Ato Brewing Co., Ltd., a traditional liquor manufacturer supplying to several Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants, will upgrade its production facilities. Judasom Agricultural Corporation Co., Ltd., which produces Gamseong Makgeolli and Takseon, plans to implement food tech innovations such as building an automated production line.

A Yongin City official stated, "Through this support project, we expect to improve the quality and productivity of processed products made with local agricultural products, thereby expanding consumption of local agricultural goods and increasing farmers' incomes.
