6th Class of Dong-Eui University Graduate School’s Department of Artificial Intelligence Donates 10 Million Won, Bringing Total Contributions for Juniors to 60 Million Won
Annual University Development Fund Donations Since 2021
Graduates of the 6th class from the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dong-Eui University Graduate School have generously donated 10 million won to foster their juniors and support the university's development.
Dong-Eui University announced on April 1 that all members of the 6th class of the Department of Artificial Intelligence (headed by Professor Kim Sunghee) at the graduate school entrusted the university development fund on March 31 and have been continuing their donations.
During the donation ceremony held at the university president's office in the main building, President Suh Suhwan; Kim Sunghee, Vice President for External Affairs and Head Professor; Jeong Seokchan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center; Kim Chiyong, Director of the Office of External Cooperation; as well as Vice President Yoo Rahee and executive members of the 6th class from the Department of Artificial Intelligence attended to present the development fund.

View original imageSince 2021, the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the graduate school has been making annual donations of development funds voluntarily raised by senior students. The cumulative amount donated so far is 60 million won.
Vice President Yoo Rahee expressed gratitude for the high-quality education provided by the graduate school, stating, "I hope that juniors will devote themselves to their studies, enhance their capabilities, and grow into talents who will lead the advanced industries of Busan."
Dong-Eui University was selected in 2020 for the "Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Cultivation Project" promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP), and is receiving about 18 billion won in support over eight years.

Based on this, the university is operating the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center and, since the 2020 academic year, has been nurturing regionally customized AI talents through the graduate school's in-service education program in the Department of Artificial Intelligence.
