Gwangju City Completes Expansion of Safety Facilities for Gwangnam Elementary School Bus Boarding and Alighting Zones
On March 31, Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province completed an expansion project for safety facilities—including dedicated boarding and alighting zones for school buses, rain shelters, and protective fences—aimed at creating a safe commuting environment for students of Gwangnam Elementary School, and conducted an on-site inspection.

The city quickly installed rain shelters and protective fences, reflecting feedback from parents, and reinforced safety throughout the entire process from boarding and alighting to waiting for the students.
In particular, by combining protective fences that physically separate students from vehicles with rain shelters that can respond to various weather conditions, the city strengthened the child protection system and focused on enhancing the overall safety of the school bus environment.
