Report Railway Hazards and Suggest Improvements... Ministry of Land to Recruit National Citizen Reporter Group
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on March 30 that it will be recruiting members for the 2026 National Railway Safety Citizen Reporter Group in cooperation with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority.
The group will be responsible for directly reporting railway safety hazards they have experienced on-site and for coming up with ideas to improve safety. Participants can voluntarily report risk factors related to railway vehicles, facilities, and systems through the National Railway Safety Information Management System. By using the self-reporting menu available on the management system, including options such as QR codes, individuals can quickly report issues in one place without the inconvenience of contacting each railway operator separately.
Any Korean citizen interested in railway use, policy, or safety is eligible to apply for this reporter group. Final selections will be made based on a comprehensive review of interest, motivation, activity capacity, and regional balance. Applications will be accepted until April 12. After evaluation by a review committee, successful candidates will be notified individually via text message on April 17.
