Kia PV5 Named "Van of the Year" and "Best Small Electric Van"
Kia is achieving consecutive successes at major global automotive awards, thanks to its outstanding product competitiveness.
On March 27, Kia announced that it had won three awards at the "2026 Van and Commercial Vehicle Awards" organized by the UK's leading automotive magazine "What Car," including "Van of the Year" for the Kia PV5.
The Kia PV5 Cargo received two awards at this event: "Van of the Year" and "Best Small Electric Van." The PV5 Cargo was recognized for its excellent cargo capacity and versatility, user convenience, and comfortable long-distance driving—all offered at a reasonable price.
Steve Huntingford, Editor-in-Chief of What Car, commented, "The Kia PV5 is a model that delivers the cargo capacity, user convenience, and long-distance comfort that commercial vehicle customers expect. Its real-world driving range is sufficient for a full day's work without significantly increasing operating costs, and thanks to its rapid charging performance, vehicle downtime can be minimized."
The PV5 Passenger won the "Best Van-Based MPV" award. The PV5 Passenger was highly praised for its refined driving feel comparable to that of a passenger car, outstanding passenger convenience, and smooth ride performance. With a maximum driving range of up to 412km under European standards (358km certified by the Ministry of Industry), and seating for five passengers along with ample luggage space, the PV5 Passenger received high marks as a versatile electric multi-passenger vehicle.
Editor-in-Chief Huntingford stated, "It is extremely challenging for an MPV based on a van to deliver both the comfort and sophistication that car buyers expect, but the Kia PV5 has perfectly solved this challenge."
Meanwhile, the Kia PV5 recently received the highest five-star rating in the Euro NCAP Commercial Van Rating, and in November of last year, became the first Korean automobile manufacturer to be honored as the "2026 International Van of the Year (IVOTY)" at the SOLUTRANS commercial vehicle show held in Lyon, France.
