KTX to Make Four Temporary Stops per Day at Hampyeong Station During Hampyeong Grand Festival
KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters announced on March 26, 2026, that during the 28th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival, KTX trains will make temporary stops at Hampyeong Station on the Honam Line four times a day—specifically from April 24 to 26 and May 1 to 5.
This temporary stop has been arranged to accommodate the increased number of visitors during the festival period and to boost local tourism. During the festival, on weekends, there will be two southbound trains (at 08:20 and 10:40) and two northbound trains (at 16:06 and 18:19) operating between Yongsan and Hampyeong each day.
Additionally, Hampyeong County will provide free shuttle bus service connecting Hampyeong Station and the festival venue in accordance with KTX arrival and departure times, minimizing inconvenience for visitors. Festival attendees using the train can also enjoy various benefits, such as discounted admission tickets and complimentary souvenirs, which are expected to enhance overall visitor satisfaction.
