The new next-generation system has transitioned from the previous web browser-based model to a CS (Client-Server) approach that utilizes the terminal's own resources, thereby improving processing speed and stability. By integrating the POS and sales management systems, stable connectivity with both internal and external systems has been secured. Even if the network is disconnected, a flexible payment environment has been implemented that allows the use of Wi-Fi, mobile phone tethering, and other options.
Additionally, the previously complex POS features have been simplified, and the screen layout has been redesigned for intuitive use. When a product is scanned, applicable promotions are automatically applied, and various payment methods such as cash, card, and simple payment can be easily viewed at a glance.
The newly introduced kiosk at the Wangsimni Topten store has streamlined the procedures from product scanning and applying discount promotions to payment. The kiosk has been designed to meet 'barrier-free' standards, including features such as screen magnification, high contrast, voice guidance, and adjustable height, so that wheelchair users and people with low vision can use it conveniently.
A representative from Shinseong Trading stated, "This next-generation POS build will serve as an opportunity to further digitalize store operations," adding, "Based on integrated data and a stable system infrastructure, we expect it to be the driving force that leads to qualitative growth in store operations and provides an efficient retail environment for both customers and employees."
