Hankook and Company Group Holds Cookie-Making Volunteer Event for Vulnerable Groups in Daejeon

Over 60 Employees and Family Members Participated
Hankook and Company Group announced on the 23rd that it held a cookie-making volunteer activity for vulnerable groups in the local community, together with the Daejeon Volunteer Association, at the Happy Home Soup Kitchen in Dong-gu, Daejeon, on the 21st.

View original imageApproximately 60 employees and family members of Hankook and Company Group participated in this event. The bakery manager from Hankook Dongrami Partners served as the instructor, and a staff member with disabilities assisted in guiding the cookie-making process.
The participants made and packaged s'more cookies under the guidance of the instructors, and the finished cookies were delivered to a care facility located in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon.
A representative from Hankook and Company Group stated, "It was a meaningful time as employees and their families personally delivered cookies they made themselves to neighbors in need, reaffirming the value of sharing," and added, "We will continue to carry out social contribution activities to spread warmth through ongoing acts of sharing."
Hankook Dongrami Partners is a subsidiary of Hankook and Company Group and a standard workplace for people with disabilities, established in 2015 under the leadership of Chairman Hyunbum Cho. Starting with 24 employees (9 with disabilities and 15 without), the company now employs 164 people (85 with disabilities and 79 without), with people with and without disabilities working together across five areas: laundry, bakery, café, car wash, and office administration.
