Condolence Visits Continue from Ruling Bloc Figures
Jung Cheongrae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Han Byungdo, Floor Leader, paid their respects at the funeral hall for the late Lee Byunghwan, the mother-in-law of former President Moon Jae-in, on March 21. Other figures from the broader ruling bloc, including Cho Kuk, leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, also visited the memorial site.

View original imageParty leader Jung and Floor Leader Han visited the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, where the memorial for the late Lee Byunghwan—the mother-in-law of former President Moon and mother of Kim Jungsook—was set up, to pay tribute to the deceased.
Cho Kuk, who served as Senior Presidential Secretary for Civil Affairs and Minister of Justice during the Moon administration, also visited the memorial. Former Presidential Chief of Staff Im Jongseok and former South Gyeongsang Province Governor Kim Kyungsoo were among those who paid their respects as well.

Earlier, Kim Hyekyung, wife of President Lee Jaemyung, paid her respects at the funeral hall. Hong Ikpyo, Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs, and Oh Sangho, the second deputy chief of the Presidential Secretariat, were also present at the memorial.
