View original imageYeonggwang County, South Jeolla Province, participated in the “2026 My Country Travel Expo” (March 19–22), a leading domestic tourism promotion event, to showcase not only Yeonggwang County’s major tourist attractions and flagship festivals, but also the “Yeonggwang Comma (Half-Price) Travel” tourism revitalization policy, drawing significant interest from visitors.
At this expo, the county introduced main tourist destinations such as Bulgapsan Mountain and Baeksu Coastal Road, as well as local specialties and a range of tourism content, providing promotional leaflets to visitors.
In particular, focused promotion was carried out around Yeonggwang Beopseongpo Danoje Festival, Yeonggwang Bulgapsan Sangsa Flower Festival, and Yeonggwang Glutinous Barley Culture Festival, the county’s three signature festivals, widely publicizing festival content that represents Yeonggwang and highlighting the region’s unique cultural value.
Additionally, Yeonggwang County actively promoted its “Yeonggwang Comma (Half-Price) Travel” tourism revitalization policy, attracting attention from visitors. The county also provided information on travel programs that allow tourists to enjoy accommodations, sightseeing, and local cuisine at more reasonable prices, combining these efforts with publicity campaigns to encourage actual visits.
Through these initiatives, Yeonggwang succeeded in positioning itself as a travel destination that can be easily visited without financial burden.
The county also operated a participatory roulette event, giving out souvenirs and encouraging active involvement from visitors. The event was designed so that anyone, regardless of age or gender, could easily participate, drawing interest from families and young people alike.
