SH Conducts Safety Inspections of Public Housing Facilities During Spring Thaw Season
Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) announced on March 20 that it has launched intensive safety inspections of construction sites and retaining wall facilities at public housing complexes under its management, in response to the thawing season in spring.
On March 16 and 19, SH President Hwang Sangha personally visited the sites and led the “Safety Inspections for Thawing Season.” These inspections were organized to preemptively block risk factors such as retaining wall collapses and ground subsidence, which are more likely to occur as frozen ground thaws after winter, and to strengthen on-site safety management systems.
On March 16, inspections were carried out at three major construction sites. President Hwang visited Magok Complex 16, Public Housing at 1410 Magok-dong, and the Seoul Workers' Welfare Center Complex Development Project sites to check their safety status.
On March 19, safety inspections of retaining wall facilities focused on public housing complexes that have been completed for over 20 years.
Along with these on-site inspections, SH plans to enhance the effectiveness of its efforts by conducting precise inspections during the thawing season with both its internal inspection team and external experts. Any necessary follow-up actions will be taken promptly.
