This task force aims to eradicate illegal activities around rivers and valleys and restore the natural environment and public order.
This task force will be led by the Deputy Mayor and will involve five departments—Construction, Permitting, Agricultural Policy, Architecture, and Sanitation—each sharing roles based on their respective fields.
Yangju City plans to conduct a comprehensive investigation and systematic rectification of various types of illegal occupation, such as recurring illegal occupation facilities, illegal structures, and unauthorized cultivation.
Accordingly, the city will conduct a full-scale inspection of illegal facilities around rivers and valleys from the 1st to the 31st and will proceed with phased rectification measures.
The investigation will cover not only river areas but also small rivers, waterways, ditches, and forest valleys, and will include a wide range of illegal occupation facilities such as benches, sunshades, bungalows, temporary structures, unauthorized cultivation, and land modification.
If illegal facilities are detected, the city will immediately issue an order for restoration to the original state, and if compliance is not achieved after the first and second warnings, it plans to impose compensation charges and enforcement fines, proceed with prosecution, and carry out administrative enforcement, as part of its legal measures.
