He emphasized, "Gwangsan should no longer remain on the outskirts, but must become the central city leading the future of Gwangju."
For his achievements during the eighth administration, he cited attracting the National Industrial Complex for future vehicles, reaching an agreement on the integrated relocation of the Gwangju civilian-military airport, promoting the Eodeungsan tourism development project, and establishing Gwangsan High School.
He also highlighted resident-participatory policies, mentioning initiatives such as the "1,000-Won Meal," "1313 Neighbor Care," "Living-in-Place Project," and "Neighborhood Future Development Plan." He said, "The strength of Gwangsan comes from its people and communities," and added, "We have confirmed that resident participation can transform the region."
He went on to say, "I will make Gwangsan the economic hub and job-centered city of the southwest region, and help it grow into a sustainable community city," adding, "Let us come together once again to create the future of Gwangsan."
