Mogam Institute for Biomedical Research Joins "K-Moonshot" Project
Selected as a Partner Institution for AI-Based Drug Development
Promoting Joint Research Based on Data and Computing Resources
Mogam Institute for Biomedical Research will participate in the Ministry of Science and ICT's national artificial intelligence (AI) research innovation initiative, the "K-Moonshot" project.
On March 18, Mogam Institute for Biomedical Research announced that it had been selected as a partner institution for the "K-Moonshot" project and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on March 11.
The K-Moonshot project is a government-led program designed to enhance research productivity in science and technology through AI and to address key national challenges. Participating institutions will establish a collaborative research system by sharing data and computing resources and conducting joint research and development.
Mogam Institute will participate in the "Advanced Bio and New Drug Development" sector, one of the 12 national missions. The institute plans to contribute by utilizing AI-based drug discovery technology to identify candidate compounds and improve research efficiency.
