The total area is 4,396 hectares, of which approximately 2,515 hectares (about 7.62 million pyeong) fall under the jurisdiction of Ansan City. The city regards this area as a core strategic asset that will determine Ansan’s future over the next 30 years and has begun to proactively establish the direction for its development.
The city plans to develop the Daesong Complex as a future industrial hub that integrates agriculture, advanced technology, and tourism.
The main concepts include: ▲ An agricultural technology research complex centered on smart farms and advanced horticultural zones ▲ A smart aquaculture complex utilizing seawater ▲ The development of ICT-based smart livestock and equine industries ▲ An eco-tourism complex connecting Daesong Wetland and Shihwa Lake ▲ The creation of an RE100-based renewable energy town. These initiatives aim to build an eco-friendly future industrial cluster that merges agriculture, energy, and tourism.
Previously, Ansan City signed a business agreement with the Korea Rural Community Corporation for the utilization and mutual development of reclaimed land. The city also plans to launch a joint basic study to establish ways to utilize the Daesong Complex.
This study will comprehensively address the establishment of the basic plan, water resource procurement strategies, project feasibility review, and implementation strategies.
In addition, the city plans to secure the approximately 760,000 pyeong currently used for the temporary Badahyanggi Theme Park site as a public future asset and utilize it as strategic land for various future policies and industries.
