"We're Still Country Boys from Korea"... BTS 'Arirang' Documentary to Be Released on the 27th
The trailer for the documentary capturing the making of BTS's fifth studio album, "Arirang," has been released.
On the morning of March 17, a trailer video for the documentary film "BTS: The Return" was posted on BTS's official social media channels. This video is structured to shed light on BTS's past, present, and future. It features scenes from their previous world tour, footage of the members completing their military service, and songwriting sessions in Los Angeles, USA, showing the process of working on new songs.
Through the video, the members candidly shared their concerns and thoughts ahead of their long-awaited comeback. They stated, "Trends are changing, and we can't keep doing the same thing," and added, "If we're going to change, now is the only time." They also reflected on their identity and origins by saying, "We are still country boys from Korea." This aligns with the major theme of their new album, which is about looking back at the group's roots. The narrative also includes how inspiration from enjoying ordinary days is woven into their music.
In particular, the trailer enhances visual and auditory immersion by using the traditional Korean folk song "Arirang" as background music. Overlaying the melody is the narration, "I think we've come back to where we naturally belong," heightening anticipation for BTS's new activities. Scenes of all seven members gathered in one space for idea meetings, recording, and filming, provide a detailed look at their collaborative process.
