View original imageOn March 17, the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions are expected to be mostly clear, with daytime temperatures rising to a high of 18 degrees Celsius, making it milder than in previous years. However, the temperature difference between day and night will be around 15 degrees, so extra care should be taken regarding health during the change of seasons.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on March 16, Gwangju and Jeonnam will come under the influence of high pressure located over the West Sea before moving to its periphery in the evening. Temperatures are forecast to be similar to or slightly higher than the seasonal averages (lows of 0–5 degrees and highs of 12–15 degrees Celsius).
The meteorological administration also explained that especially in inland areas of Jeonnam, morning temperatures will drop below 0 degrees Celsius in many places, resulting in chilly conditions. Morning lows will range from -1 to 6 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius.
The sky will be mostly clear but will gradually become cloudy from the afternoon.

An official from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration stated, "For the time being, the temperature difference between day and night will remain very large, so please take special care to maintain your health, as lowered immunity can be a concern. Also, as frost and ice may form especially in inland areas, please prepare to prevent cold damage to crops."
